Traditionally, when you hire an architect you automatically get their interior designer(s). Usually there is no discussion about it—just sort of a package deal. You may assume that if you’ve chosen the most capable architect you are also getting the most capable interior designer. That may not always be the case. You may not even meet your assigned interior designer until well into the design process.

Blackbird Design Resources exists to give you a choice in your interior design team. We offer professional, highly skilled interior designers who perform their duties to the highest level of quality from design to construction documents. We don’t sell furniture (though we do put together killer furniture bid packages for competitive bidding), so our focus is on what you need for a successful project, not on what we can sell you.

Bring us in during the interview process or bring us in after you’ve selected your architect (but bring us in as early as possible). Be sure to tell your architect not to include interior design services in their fee from the start.

We don’t just pick colors for what architects design; we are an integral part of the design process helping to inform smart decisions to be made for human flow, space planning efficiencies, and the overall interior elements that will make your space beautiful and designed for your users from visitors, to employees, to maintenance staff.
